Folsom – The Andy Pugno for Assembly campaign has announced the endorsement of current 5th District Assemblyman Roger Niello.

“Andy Pugno will make a great Assemblyman,” said Niello. “We need someone with his intelligence, thoughtfulness, and determination to represent us in the Assembly.”

Niello has a long history of civic and political activity in Sacramento. He has been President of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce as well as being involved in numerous other community-based organizations. He spent nearly six years on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2004.

“I’m running for the Assembly to be a pro-business voice. I’m thankful that Roger has decided to support my efforts to be elected to the Assembly,” said Pugno. “I am sure that Roger and I will continue to work to make the Sacramento area an even better place to open a business, work, and raise a family.”

Pugno is an honors graduate of UC Davis and McGeorge School of Law. He lives in Folsom with his wife Colleen and their three children. He is active at St. Mel Catholic Church in Fair Oaks.
